Job description

Charleston ENT & Allergy has an immediate need for experienced and certified Medical Assistants to join our rapidly-growing team as Triage Medical Assistants. Our Clinical Care Connectors are on the front line, interacting with patients and their families daily and at every stage of the process. Triage MAs also provide real-time support to our patients and providers by facilitating communication between hospitals, patients, and internal teams. While on the phone, Charleston ENT & Allergy's Triage MAs are entrusted with the responsibility of ensuring excellent patient care, which is key to our continued success.

Position Details:

Open: 7 days per week from 7am to 7pm. Full benefits available after a short waiting period.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

1. Communicating directly and indirectly with healthcare providers to coordinate patient care effectively.
2. Providing patients and families with instructions as directed by their physicians.
3. Communicating lab and test results to families.
4. Assisting with medication refills following specific protocols.
5. Conveying adjustments or changes in treatment plans to families as instructed by physicians.
6. Supporting providers in patient communication.
7. Providing patient education based on MA training, guidelines, care models, and protocols.
8. Performing other duties as assigned.
