Job summary

CenterWell Senior Primary Care is seeking a Medical Assistant for the Portsmouth, VA clinic to support patient-centered clinical workflows and direct reporting to the Center Administrator. You will obtain histories, record vitals, assist with vaccines and phlebotomy, and document patient information in the EMR system.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of MA school/training program and CMA/RMA certification or approval from Provider
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current CPR Certification
• Meet patient-facing role requirements including TB screening

Responsibilities

• Obtain patient histories, discuss symptoms and record vital signs
• Administer medications and vaccines following protocols
• Perform phlebotomy and collect laboratory specimens
• Prepare and maintain clean, sterile examination and equipment
• Document patient information in the EMR system
