Job summary

CenterWell Senior Primary Care is seeking a Medical Assistant 2 who will be the first contact for patient care and handle both administrative and clinical tasks onsite. You will perform vital sign checks, discuss symptoms, and assist with vaccines and medications, while maintaining clean exam rooms and accurate EMR documentation.

The role requires completion of an MA program or CMA/RMA certification (or 5+ years with provider approval) and CPR certification.

Qualifications

• MA school/training completion or CMA/RMA certification or 5+ years experience with provider approval.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical duties: discuss symptoms, obtain vital signs, administer meds and vaccines.
• Perform phlebotomy, collect specimens and conduct diagnostic screening tests.
• Sterilize equipment, clean exam rooms, document in EMR.
• Collaborate with physicians and advanced practice providers.
• Deliver direct patient care within certification scope.
• Follow department policies and prioritize tasks within defined standards.
• Adhere to standard procedures with room for interpretation.
