Job summary

VillageMD is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians and APPs with clinical and clerical tasks in New Britain, CT locations. You will manage patient flow, prepare exam rooms, document in the EHR, take vital signs, and coordinate referrals while maintaining a patient-centered approach.

Strong organization, communication skills, and basic computer literacy are essential, as is the ability to work across satellite offices as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Graduated from an accredited Medical Assistant program, required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) preferred.
• Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, required.
• Ability to organize and perform multiple tasks in a timely manner, required.
• Basic proficiency in computer use, required.
• Ability to commute to satellite offices as needed, required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the examination room and escorts patient to the room.
• Maintains efficient patient flow and proper preparation for visits.
• Documents vital signs and meds accurately in the EHR.
• Assists with ordering, stocking and maintaining supplies.
• Schedules appointments per departmental guidelines.
• Communicates patient care needs to supervisors promptly.
