Job summary

VillageMD is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians, PAs, and NPs with clinical and clerical duties. You will prepare exam rooms, manage patient flow, document vitals, and assist with EHR entries.

The role requires strong English communication and basic computer skills, with formal MA or phlebotomy training. The position involves coordinating appointments and ensuring accurate medication lists and allergies are documented, while providing patient-friendly care.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing.
• HS diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduation from an accredited medical assistant or phlebotomy program is required.
• 0-1 year related work experience required; 2-4 years preferred.
• BLS certification or within 30 days of hire is required.
• Ability to multi-task and use a computer.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the examination room and escorts patient into room.
• Maintains efficient patient flow.
• Communicates care aligned with patient needs and cultural considerations.
• Schedules appointments according to guidelines.
• Stocks examination rooms with supplies and maintains inventory.
