Job summary

Allegheny Health Network seeks a Medical Assistant to support patient care under supervision, prepare and room patients, and assist with exams. The role follows AHN protocols and contributes to care coordination within a team.

The position requires completing a Medical Assistant program or High School/GED with certification within 120 days, CPR certification, and the ability to work across locations. A $1,000 sign-on bonus is offered for external hires.

Qualifications

• Requires completion of a Medical Assistant program or High School/GED with certification within 120 days of hire.
• Certification must be from accepted programs (NHA, AAMA, AMT, NCCT, AMCA).
• Associate's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates patient care under supervision of the health care provider.
• Prepares and rooms patients according to workflow.
• Obtains vital signs and documents patient information accurately.
• Assists with examinations and procedures as needed.
• Documents in the EHR according to policy and workflows.
• May float/travel between physician office locations.
