Qualifications

• High School / GED or Completion of a Medical Assistant Program.
• Certification within 120 days of hire may be required if eligible.
• Accepted Medical Assistant Certification (NHA, AAMA, AMT, NCCT, AMCA).

Responsibilities

• Assists in coordinating examination, treatment and health care planning for patients.
• Prepares and rooms patients, obtains vital signs, documents patient information and medical history.
• Reviews and updates medication lists in the EHR and screens social history.
• Performs back office testing and assists providers with examinations and procedures.
• May serve as a scribe with additional training and follows provider instructions for test results.
• Ensures exam rooms are stocked with supplies and maintains infection control standards.
• May require floating or travel between physician office locations.
