Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patient care under supervision of providers. You will perform rooming, vital signs, charting, and screening according to AHN workflows.

Responsibilities include preparing exam rooms, updating records in the EHR, and facilitating follow-ups. Certification within 120 days and current CPR are required; a HS diploma or MA program completion is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum: High School / GED or Completion of a Medical Assistant Program.
• Preferred: Associate's Degree.
• Certification within 120 days of hire; MA certs accepted (NHA, AAMA, AMT, NCCT, AMCA).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient care under supervision using a team-based approach.
• Prepare and room patients; obtain vitals and document history.
• Assist with depression screening tools and annual wellness visits.
• Review and update medication lists in the EHR.
• Perform back office testing and assist providers with exams.
• Document accurately in the EHR and maintain supplies.
• May float between physician locations.
