Job summary

TexomaCare in Denison, Texas is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians in patient examinations and care. You will perform vital sign checks, assist with procedures, and maintain clinic flow alongside a professional care team at TexomaCare, affiliated with Texoma Medical Center.

The position requires a Medical Assistant certificate or related experience, BLS/CPR, and strong patient communication skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Current BLS/CPR certification required
• Medical Assistant Certificate of Completion or one year of experience as a Medical Assistant
• Familiarity with medical terminology required
• Experience with patient check‑in and check‑out process (clinic protocol)
• General medical office procedures
• Understand end of day cash balancing and charge reconciliation (clinic protocol)
• Proficiency in basic computer programs and operating systems
• Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
• Professional interaction required in all engagements
• Office equipment operation (fax, copier, phone)
• EKG machine and other patient care testing

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide variety of patient care duties under physician direction
• Interview patients and measure vital signs
• Venipuncture and procedures as directed
• Prepare treatment rooms for examinations
• Assist with front desk coverage as needed
• Record documentation in Electronic Medical Records per IPM guidelines
