Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a qualified Medical Assistant for the SouthPark Family Medicine location in Charlotte, NC. The role requires 40 hours per week, M-F 7:30 am to 5 pm, and includes sign-on bonus eligibility based on eligibility.

The position involves patient rooming, vitals, medication reconciliation, CLIA-waived lab testing, vaccines, and coordination of care with providers. Compensation ranges from $22.90 to $34.35 per hour.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or structured military training which is clinical in nature per DD214 in lieu of a formal medical assistant program or EMT.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to Medical Assistant scope of practice and department policies.
• Performs rooming/visit tasks: vitals, history, screenings.
• Assists provider with procedures and performs lab-related duties including venipuncture and POCT.
• Administers medications and vaccines as ordered.
• Handles patient communication, scheduling and referrals as needed.
