Advocate Health in North Carolina seeks a Medical Assistant to support clinicians by rooming patients, taking vitals, reviewing histories and screenings, and assisting with procedures.

The role includes venipuncture, specimen handling, POCT, and CLIA-waived testing. You will also administer vaccines, coordinate referrals, and maintain a clean, stocked work environment while communicating effectively with the care team.

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• BLS certification may be required within 45 days depending on division.

Responsabilidades

• Adheres to Medical Assistant scope of practice and follows all policies and procedures.
• Performs rooming tasks: vital signs, med history, screenings, and health maintenance.
• Assists provider with procedures as ordered.
• Performs lab duties: venipuncture, specimen handling, POCT per orders, and CLIA-waived tests.
• Administers medications and vaccines safely following medication administration rights.
• Handles patient referrals, scheduling, and communication with patients and team members.
• Cross-trained to perform duties relevant to specialty or clinic practice within MA scope.
• Maintains clean, stocked work areas and ensures equipment is in working order.
