Job summary

Advocate Health in Charlotte's Southpark clinic is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to support internal medicine. You will room patients, collect vitals, and assist clinicians with procedures while performing routine lab work and vaccinations.

The role requires at least two years of MA experience and a strong emphasis on safety, accuracy, and patient communication. The position offers a 40-hour work week, a sign-on bonus, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in a clinical practice setting as a Medical Assistant.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent training.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and record vital signs, medical history, allergies, and health maintenance items.
• Assist providers with procedures and perform lab tasks such as venipuncture and specimen handling.
• Conduct POCT and CLIA-waived tests in accordance with policies.
• Administer vaccines and medications following safety protocols and rights of administration.
• Coordinate scheduling, referrals, and insurance authorizations; maintain clean work areas.
