Advocate Health in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Medical Assistant for a full-time role in the South End Family Medicine clinic. The schedule is 40 hours per week with clinic hours from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. The pay range is $21.85–$32.80 per hour, and benefits are eligible.

The MA will perform rooming tasks, labs, vaccines, and support to physicians, while ensuring patient safety, accuracy, and quality care in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

Qualificações

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or military training in lieu of program.
• 2 years of verifiable full-time Medical Assistant experience within the last 5 years (where applicable).

Responsabilidades

• Adheres to Medical Assistant scope of practice and follows policies.
• Performs rooming/visit tasks: vitals, history, screenings.
• Assists provider and performs procedures as ordered.
• Performs venipuncture and POCT; handles lab orders and results.
• Administers medications and vaccines per rights of administration.
• Handles tasks like refills, authorizations, scheduling, and referrals.
• Cross-trained for relevant duties within department.
• Maintains clean, stocked work environment and equipment.
• Assesses age-appropriate patient care across life span.
