Job summary

Advocate Health Care is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patient care in our clinic. Responsibilities include taking vital signs, collecting medical histories, preparing patients for exams, and assisting clinicians during procedures.

The role requires a MA diploma or two years of MA experience, with phlebotomy skills preferred. Scheduling is Monday–Friday with occasional Saturday coverage. Strong teamwork and patient-first attitude are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Medical Assistant Diploma or 2 years MA experience, or MA certification with 2 years experience.
• Phlebotomy skills are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and support their transition into care.
• Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and health screenings.
• Prepare patients for exams and assist providers during procedures.
• Administer medications and vaccines as directed.
• Perform lab-related tasks including specimen collection and point-of-care testing.
• Document care accurately in the electronic health record.
• Partner with physicians, nurses, and teammates to deliver high-quality, coordinated care.
