Responsibilities

• Adheres to Medical Assistant scope of practice and follows policies and procedures.
• Performs rooming/visit tasks including vital signs, medication reconciliation, medical history, screenings, and health maintenance.
• Assists provider with procedures as ordered and performs lab duties such as venipuncture and specimen handling.
• Maintains CLIA waived testing per orders and ensures accurate results tracking.
• Administers medications and vaccines following proper rights of administration.
• Handles tasks like refills, authorizations, scheduling, and referrals.
• Communicates effectively and escalates as needed; maintains clean, stocked work areas.
