Job summary

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in a clinical practice setting as a Medical Assistant.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program; or DD214 military training in lieu of program.

Responsibilities

• Maintain competency in MA scope of practice and follow policies.
• Perform rooming tasks: vitals, med reconciliation, history, screenings.
• Assist provider with procedures as ordered.
• Perform lab duties: venipuncture, specimen labeling, POCT, CLIA-waived tests.
• Administer medications and vaccines per rights of administration.
• Handle referrals, insurance authorizations, messaging, and scheduling.
• Maintain clean, stocked work area and safe equipment use.
• Support training or onboarding of teammates.
• Provide age-appropriate patient care and effective communication.
