Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Ability to take vital signs, medical history, screens and patient data with accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to Medical Assistant scope of practice and follows policies.
• Performs rooming tasks: vital signs, history, health maintenance and screenings.
• Assists provider with procedures as ordered.
• Performs lab duties: venipuncture, specimen handling, labeling, and POCT.
• Administers medications and vaccines per safety rules.
• Handles scheduling, referrals, and insurance authorizations as needed.
• Maintains clean, stocked work areas and supports team communication.
