Job summary

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent training.
• Current BLS certification as applicable.
• Ability to perform routine and complex clinical skills.
• Experience with electronic medical records systems.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to scope of practice and policies while caring for patients.
• Performs rooming tasks: vitals, medication reconciliation, history, screenings.
• Assists providers with procedures as ordered.
• Performs lab duties: venipuncture, specimen handling, POCT per orders.
• Administers medications and vaccines safely.
• Handles duties such as refills, authorizations, scheduling, referrals.
• Maintains clean, stocked work environment and escalates when needed.
