Atrium Health is seeking a qualified Medical Assistant to support patient care in a dynamic clinical setting. The role includes rooming patients, taking vital signs, reviewing medical history, performing screenings, and assisting with procedures as ordered.

You will also perform venipuncture, collect lab specimens, conduct POCT per standing orders, and assist with vaccinations and medication administration. A strong focus on teamwork and patient safety is essential.

Competenze

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or completion of structured military training in lieu of a formal medical assistant program or EMT.

Mansioni

• Adheres to Medical Assistant scope of practice and guidelines.
• Performs rooming/visit tasks: vital signs, medical history, screenings, etc.
• Assists provider with procedures as ordered.
• Performs lab duties including venipuncture and POCT per orders; follows CLIA standards.
• Administers medications and vaccines following medication rights.
• Handles tasks such as refills, authorizations, patient messaging and scheduling.
• Cross trained for duties within the department's scope.
• Maintains communication and escalating when needed.
• Keeps work environment clean and stocked.
