Atrium Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patient care across multiple clinics. The role includes rooming patients, taking vital signs, reviewing health histories, and assisting with procedures as ordered.

You will perform CLIA-waived tests and venipuncture under standing orders, while maintaining accurate documentation and patient safety. You will work within a team to ensure timely patient flow, proper vaccine administration, and coordination of referrals and appointments.

Competenze

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• May have completed structured military training which is clinical in nature or EMT in lieu of a formal program.
• Current BLS certification is required (as applicable to division).

Mansioni

• Adheres to Medical Assistant scope of practice and policy procedures.
• Performs rooming tasks: vital signs, history, screenings, and medication reconciliation.
• Assists/providers with procedures and lab duties, including venipuncture and POCT.
• Administers medications and vaccines per rights of administration.
• Handles referrals, scheduling, insurance authorizations, and patient messaging.
• Maintains clean, stocked, and safe work environment.
