Job summary

TexomaCare is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patient care under physician supervision in a busy clinic setting. You will interview patients, take vital signs, perform venipuncture, document in EMR, prepare examination rooms, and assist with front desk duties as needed.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or equivalent, MA certificate or 1 year MA experience, BLS/CPR, and familiarity with medical terminology.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical Assistant Certificate of Completion or 1 year of MA experience.
• Current BLS/CPR certification required.
• Familiarity with medical terminology required.
• Experience with patient check-in/out per clinic protocol.
• Proficiency in basic computer programs (Microsoft Office).
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in examination and treatment of patients under physician direction.
• Interview patients and measure vital signs.
• Perform venipuncture and related procedures as directed.
• Document in Electronic Medical Record per IPM guidelines.
• Prepare treatment rooms for examinations.
• Assist in front desk coverage as needed.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

Medical Assistant Certificate of Completion

BLS/CPR certification

Familiarity with medical terminology

Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred)
