Job summary

TexomaCare seeks a qualified Medical Assistant to support physicians in patient examinations, document in EMR, and prepare treatment rooms. Responsibilities include interviewing patients, taking vitals, venipuncture, and assisting at the front desk as needed.

Required are a High School Diploma or equivalent and BLS/CPR, with Medical Assistant certification or 1 year of experience. Bilingual preferred; salary and benefits accompany this role.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Current BLS/CPR certification required.
• Medical Assistant Certificate of Completion or one year of experience as a Medical Assistant.
• Familiarity with medical terminology required.
• Experience with patient check-in and check-out process (according to clinic protocol).
• General medical office procedures.
• Understand end of day cash balancing and charge reconciliation process (according to clinic protocol).
• Proficiency in basic computer programs and operating systems, such as Microsoft Office.
• Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
• Must be able to perform courteously and professionally in all interactions.
• Office equipment such as fax machine, copier and telephone system.
• EKG machine, other patient care testing.

Responsibilities

• Interviewing patients, measures vital signs, venipuncture and procedures as directed by physician.
• Documentation in Electronic Medical Record according to IPM guideline.
• Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients.
• Assists in covering the front desk as required.
