Job summary

TexomaCare is seeking a Medical Assistant to perform a wide range of patient care duties under physician supervision. You will interview patients, record vital signs, perform venipuncture, and carry out procedures within the state scope of practice. Documentation in the EMR is required alongside room preparation and front desk coverage.

The role supports a team of physicians and staff in delivering compassionate, high-quality care across TexomaCare facilities affiliated with UHS.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Certification as Medical Assistant or 1 year experience as Medical Assistant is preferred.
• Familiarity with medical terminology is required.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients and measure vital signs (pulse, temperature, blood pressure, weight, height).
• Perform venipuncture and procedures under physician direction within state scope of practice.
• Document in Electronic Medical Record per IPM guidelines.
• Prepare exam rooms and assist in covering front desk as needed.
