Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of a Medical Assistant Program preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient registration, secure paperwork and insurance documentation; verify eligibility.
• Process co-pays and schedule patient appointments.
• Coordinate provider referrals to specialists.
• Answer patient questions and inform them of status.
• Prepare patients for examination and record medical history; verify purpose of visit.
• Perform essential vitals and point-of-care testing as needed.
• Maintain exam rooms, front desk, and supply inventory; ensure necessary medical supplies.
• Update and maintain medical records and scanning of charts.

Education
