Job summary

GoHealth Urgent Care seeks a Team Lead Medical Assistant to supervise MA staff, support physicians and radiology staff, and manage day-to-day operations at the Danbury center. You will assist with patient care, registrations, and care coordination, while ensuring service quality and timely patient flow.

The role requires 2+ years MA experience, MA program completion preferred, and strong organization and communication skills to drive efficient urgent care delivery.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Medical Assistant program preferred.
• 2+ years Medical Assistant experience within last 3 years preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support team members and center operations.
• Manage daily operations including inventory and patient flow with ROM oversight.
• Handle patient registration, insurance verification, and co-pays.
• Perform point of care testing and vitals; escalate to providers as needed.
• Coordinate referrals and communicate with patients about care status.
• Maintain medical records and ensure chart accuracy and privacy.
