Mercy-GoHealth Urgent Care in the Connecticut area is hiring a Medical Assistant to support urgent care operations. You will assist in examinations, manage patient check-in, and perform vital signs collection and specimen handling.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Graduate of a Medical Assisting Program preferred.
• 1+ years of Medical Assistant experience in a hospital or urgent care setting preferred.
• Front Desk experience preferred.
• BLS certification required at time of hire.

Responsabilités

• Register patients, secure paperwork and insurance documentation, and verify eligibility.
• Process co-pays and schedule appointments for the center.
• Coordinate referrals to specialists as needed.
• Answer questions and inform patients of their status.
• Prepare patients for examination and collect vital signs.
• Perform point-of-care testing and provide results to the provider.
• Stock supplies and maintain exam rooms and reception areas.
• Maintain medical records and scan charts to patient files.
• Answer calls and manage daily correspondence; ensure reception is well maintained.
