Job summary

Hartford HealthCare - GoHealth Urgent Care, LLC is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patient intake, examinations, and front-desk functions in a busy urgent care setting.

You will register patients, collect insurance information, perform vitals, and assist clinicians with clinical tasks while maintaining a clean, organized work environment. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Medical Assisting program preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required at the time of hire.
• MA certifications or equivalent experience per policy may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Register patients, collect insurance paperwork, and verify eligibility.
• Schedule appointments and process co-pays.
• Assist with referrals and communicate status to patients.
• Prepare patients for examination and perform vitals and point-of-care tests.
• Maintain exam rooms, supplies, and medical records; manage charts.
