Job summary

Qualifications

• High School / GED or completion of a Medical Assistant program required.
• Certification training/testing must be completed within 30 days of hire and certification within 120 days if applicable.
• Associate's Degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient care under supervision of the health care provider.
• Prepare and room patients, accurately obtain vital signs and document patient information and history.
• Perform back office testing following AHN protocols.
• Assist providers with examinations and procedures.
• May serve as a scribe with additional training.
• Document in the EHR and manage clerical tasks as assigned.
