Allegheny Health Network is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patient care across clinical settings. The role involves rooming patients, taking vital signs, updating medication lists in the EHR, and assisting providers with exams and procedures.

Responsibilities include scheduling follow-ups, performing basic lab controls, sterilizing instruments, and maintaining inventory. Travel between physician offices may be required; CPR and MA certification are required within specified timelines.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or completion of a medical assistant program.
• Must obtain certification within 120 days if not already certified.
• Certified Medical Assistant from NHA, AAMA, AMT, NCCT or AMCA.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate patient care under supervision with the health care provider.
• Prepare and room patients; obtain vital signs and screen patients.
• Review and update medication lists in the EHR; assist with screenings.
• Assist with examinations and procedures; may serve as a scribe.
• Ensure supplies, sterilize instruments, and maintain exam rooms.
• Document in EHR; perform clerical duties and may travel between offices.
