The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, completion of a MA program or one year of direct patient care, CPR certification, and required background clearances. On-site with potential travel between locations.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant program OR 1 year of Medical Assistant OR 1 year in direct patient care role.
• CPR certification (American Heart Association).
• Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
• Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate.
• Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
• Employees who have not met certification criteria may sit for a company proctored exam.

Responsabilités

• Assist in coordinating patient care under supervision of the health care provider.
• Prepare and room patients, obtain vital signs, document patient information and history.
• Assist with administration of screenings and update medication lists in the EHR.
• Assist providers with examinations and procedures; may serve as a scribe with training.
• Follow HIPAA and privacy policies; maintain sterile instruments and inventory.
• May float between physician office locations.
