Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or completion of a Medical Assistant program.
• Must obtain certification within 120 days of hire if requirements met.
• Accepted Medical Assistant Certification options include NHA, AAMA, AMT, NCCT, AMCA.
• Preferred Associate's Degree.

Responsibilities

• Assist in coordinating patient care under supervision of a healthcare provider.
• Prepare and room patients, obtain vitals, document history and screenings.
• Review and update medication lists in the EHR and coordinate age-appropriate screenings.
• Perform back office testing and assist with examinations and procedures.
• May serve as a scribe with training and provide follow-up with patients as directed.
• Maintain exam rooms and stock supplies, ensure clean and sterile instruments.
• Document accurately in the EHR and perform clerical duties as assigned.
• May float between physician office locations as needed.
