Job summary

Vail Health Hospital is seeking a clinical assistant responsible for supporting providers and care teams. You will handle patient communications, process EHR messages, and assist with administrative duties to ensure efficient patient care and documentation.

Requirements include basic medical terminology knowledge, HIPAA/OSHA compliance, and at least 2 years of related experience. Licensure options include CMA/RMA/NCMA/CCMA/MAC, with Colorado licenses as applicable. PRN benefits are available.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of medical terminology and equipment.
• HIPAA compliance and OSHA rules and regulations required.
• 2 years of experience with patient care and administrative duties preferred.

Responsibilities

• Field patient phone calls and voicemails promptly and professionally.
• Process patient portal and EHR messages within established timeframes.
• Handle refill requests and route to providers when needed.
• Manage provider’s patient portal messages and organize EHR inboxes.
• Ensure accurate documentation in the patient’s electronic health record.
