Job summary

Next Level Urgent Care, LLC seeks a Medical Assistant to support patient care under the Physician/Medical Provider. You will greet patients, obtain registration, measure vital signs, and prepare exam rooms.

You will assist in procedures, maintain a clean environment, perform CLIA-waived tests and urine drug screens, collect specimens, and support documentation in EMR. Must have high school diploma, some medical experience, BCLS, and be able to work day, night, and weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Some medical experience.
• BCLS certification.
• Ability to work all shifts including day, night, and weekend hours as needed.
• Basic computer skills; including familiarity with electronic medical records.
• Detail oriented with excellent interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assure patient flow runs smoothly and efficiently; greet patients and escort to a room and initiate registration.
• Measure vital signs and record information in chart/EMR.
• Explain treatment procedures and prepare patient and exam room for examination.
• Assist the Physician/Medical Provider with procedures.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment and sterilize instruments after use.
• Perform diagnostic tests and CLIA-waived lab tests; collect and process specimens.
• Perform urine drug screens (DOT and Non-DOT) with proper chain of custody; ship as needed.
• Remove sutures/staples and change dressings.
• Adhere to safety requirements and participate in quality training.
