Job summary

Next Level Medical is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patient care and assist the physician/medical provider in clinical procedures. The role emphasizes accurate vital signs, patient preparation, and efficient patient flow within the clinic.

You will perform basic diagnostic tests, collect specimens, and help maintain a clean, safe environment. Strong communication and teamwork are essential to ensure high-quality patient care and continuous improvement in the facility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Some medical experience.
• BCLS certification.
• Ability to work all shifts including day, night, and weekends.
• Basic computer skills; familiarity with electronic medical records.
• Detail oriented with excellent interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, escort to room, and initiate registration.
• Measure vital signs and record in chart/EMR.
• Explain procedures and prepare patient and exam room.
• Assist physician/medical provider with procedures.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment; sterilize instruments.
• Perform diagnostic tests and basic lab work.
• Collect and process specimens for send-out.
• Perform urine drug screens with proper chain of custody.
• Remove sutures/staples and change dressings.
• Support safety reporting and ongoing education.
• Participate in Quality Improvement and mandatory training.
