Job summary

Oak Street Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our team in Colorado. The MA will collect medical information, support providers with patient assessments, and work across the care team to deliver an exceptional patient experience.

Responsibilities include conducting screenings, managing EMR documentation, assisting with vaccines and point-of-care tests, and coordinating referrals while maintaining high standards of accuracy and safety.

Qualifications

• State or national certification or graduation from an accredited medical assistant program.
• 1 year experience as a medical assistant.
• CPR or BLS Certification.
• Electronic Medical Record experience.
• Computer skills: Gmail, MS Word/Google Docs, Excel/Sheets.
• US work authorization.
• Proficiency in non-English languages as required by the center demographics.

Responsibilities

• Ensure efficient patient flow and room patients in a timely manner.
• Inventory supplies and stock exam rooms.
• Respond to patient requests for telephonic support.
• Administer vaccinations and perform point of care tests where allowed.
• Import documents into EMR via scanning or PDF upload.
• Participate in care team meetings to discuss patient care and clinic operations.
• Process orders for durable medical equipment.
• Request medical records from external providers.
