Job summary

Core Physicians, part of Beth Israel Lahey Health, is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clerical, clinical, and business functions under supervision. A $2,500 sign-on bonus is offered, with constant opportunities to grow within a physician-led network in Seacoast NH.

Standard weekday schedule, no weekend rotations, and benefits begin on day 1. Certifications and BLS are required or obtained soon after hire.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED required.
CMA/RMA/CCMA certification or registration required (or within 6 months of hire).
BLS certification within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

Perform clinical duties such as pre-visit work, obtaining vital signs, medication reconciliation, and assisting providers with examinations and procedures.
Clean and prepare instruments for sterilization and ensure exam rooms are stocked.
Respond to patient portal messages the same day.
Use standing protocols to complete pre-visit work, close gaps in care, administer vaccines, and complete prescription refills.
Schedule pre-admission and diagnostic testing and place follow-up calls to patients after surgery.
Handle daily administrative duties: check-in/out, scheduling, phones, messages, patient charts, billing tasks.
Adhere to Core Physicians policies and confidentiality standards; participate in daily huddles and act as a care team member.
In some practices, may perform scribing duties and document encounters; order labs, referrals, and prescriptions as directed.
Monitor care team metrics to evaluate improvements and outcomes.
Provide coverage for other Core Offices as needed and perform other duties as assigned.
