Job summary

Core Physicians in Exeter, NH, part of Beth Israel Lahey Health, seeks a Medical Assistant to support clerical, clinical and business tasks under supervision. The role emphasizes patient care, vital signs, vaccination administration, and coordinating with the care team.

The successful candidate will have CMA/RMA/CCMA certification (or obtain within 6 months) and BLS within 6 months, with a Monday–Friday schedule and benefits starting day one.

Qualifications

• Must have CMA/RMA/CCMA certification or registration or be within 6 months of hire
• BLS certification within 6 months of hire
• High School diploma or GED or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical duties such as pre-visit work, taking vital signs, and assisting physicians with examinations and procedures
• Prepare and sterilize instruments; maintain exam rooms stock and clean
• Respond to patient portal messages on the same day per protocol
• Complete pre-visit work, vaccinate, and process prescription refills using standing protocols
• Schedule pre-admission testing and follow-up calls after surgery
• Greet, check-in/out patients, schedule appointments, answer phones, maintain charts and records
• Adhere to Core Physicians policies, confidentiality, safety, and infection control standards
• May assist with scribing; document encounters and place orders as directed
• Monitor care team metrics and contribute to improvement of outcomes
• Provide coverage for other Core Offices as needed
