Qualifications

• High School or GED is required.
• CMA/RMA/CCMA certification or registration; testing within 6 months of hire.
• BLS certification within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical duties such as pre-visit work, obtaining vital signs, medication reconciliation, and assisting providers with examinations and/or procedures.
• Clean and prepare instruments for sterilization; ensure exam rooms are cleaned and stocked.
• Respond to patient portal messages the same day according to standard work procedures.
• Complete pre-visit work using standing protocols, close gaps in care, administer vaccines, and process prescription refills.
• Schedule pre-admission and diagnostic testing; place follow-up calls to patients after surgery.
• Handle daily administrative tasks: greeting, check-in/out, scheduling, phone calls, chart organization, co-pays and balances, and daily journal balance.
• Maintain Core Physicians policies and procedures, confidentiality, QA, safety, infection control, and participate in daily huddle.
• In some practices, may scribe; document encounters, order labs/referrals/prescriptions as advised.
• Monitor care team metrics to evaluate improvement and outcomes.
• Provide coverage for other Core Offices as needed and perform other duties as assigned.
