Hometown Urgent Care in Columbus, OH is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinicians and ensure smooth patient flow. You will collect histories, take vitals, perform basic tests, phlebotomy, injections, and assist with exams while maintaining HIPAA compliance.

Responsibilities include charting, referrals, patient education, and travel to care centers within the designated region. Experience in a clinic setting and EMR proficiency are preferred, CPR certification required.

Qualificações

• Basic computer skills and EMR familiarity.
• 1–2 years of experience in a physician practice or clinic preferred.
• Ability to work independently with sound clinical judgment.
• CPR certification is required or expected.

Responsabilidades

• Take patient history and obtain vital signs.
• Perform basic testing and screenings (vision, hearing, urine drug screens, breath alcohol, EKGs, PFT).
• Perform phlebotomy for lab samples and document results.
• Complete paperwork for lab tests (blood, urine, tissue, cultures).
• Administer injections and document per policy.
• Perform point-of-care tests (strep, mono, glucose, influenza, pregnancy, urinalysis).
• Disperse and document medications and treatments; maintain sterile technique.
