Job summary

St. Charles Health System is seeking a Medical Assistant to manage daily patient flow for designated physicians. You will triage patients, gather information for health assessments, and support physician needs in patient care.

The role emphasizes confidentiality, clinical documentation, and teamwork within a compliant environment. Prior MA program completion is preferred; EMT/LPN/RN licensure is noted in the qualifications.

Qualifications

• Must have basic knowledge of ICD-10, CM/CPT/HCPCS coding conventions and procedures.
• Working knowledge of medical practice management information systems.
• Must maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms and prepare for physician assessment.
• Record and maintain patient medical data in the chart.
• Assist physicians with phone requests from patients and other professionals.
• Perform physician-requested ancillary and/or surgical procedures (excluding IV meds).
• Maintain equipment and supply inventory.
• Provide safe environment for caregivers, patients, and guests.
• Deliver timely, accurate patient care and customer service.
