Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required or Associate's Degree in Medical Assisting preferred.
• Direct MA or medical field work experience 1–2 years required.
• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and medical office software.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills essential for patient interactions.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients to obtain medical information and measure vital signs, weight, and height.
• Show patients to examination rooms and prepare necessary equipment for healthcare providers.
• Record patients' medical history and vital statistics in medical records.
• Answer phones, take dictation, and complete insurance forms; liaise with other departments.
• Collect blood, tissue, or other specimens and prepare them for testing.
• Prepare treatment rooms, keep spaces clean, and stock supplies.
• Clean and sterilize instruments and dispose of contaminated materials.
