Job summary

Highmark Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to join Allegheny Health Network in Monroeville, PA. The person will coordinate patient care, room patients, take vitals, and document in the EHR under provider supervision.

The role supports clinic operations and patient flow throughout the visit. Minimum requirements include a Medical Assistant program certification or equivalent, a high school diploma or GED, and CPR.

Qualifications

• Certification must be completed within 120 days of hire.
• CPR certification required (American Heart Association).
• Certification from NHA, AAMA, AMT, NCCT, or AMCA may be accepted.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient care under supervision of the provider.
• Prepare and room patients per standardized workflows.
• Obtain and document patient vitals and history.
• Screen medications and review medication lists in the EHR.
• Assist with wellness screening and preventive care visits.
• Maintain inventory and ensure exam rooms are stocked.
