Job summary

Together Women’s Health, in partnership with Women First Rochester Hills, is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to join their expanding team at a new location opening in January. Training will begin mid-December to prepare for the January opening, with a focus on delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year of medical office experience, familiarity with EMR systems, and CCMA certification is preferred. OB/GYN experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience in a medical office setting and/or graduation from a certified Medical Assistant program is required.
• Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) preferred
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• 1+ years in a medical office
• Experience with EMR systems and medical terminology is required
• Previous experience at an OBGYN office (Preferred)

Responsibilities

• Obtain patient's health history and accurately enter into Electronic Medical Record
• Set up and prepare exam room for patient visit to ensure cleanliness
• Perform any preliminary physical tests and obtain vitals
• Set up any additional diagnostic and/or treatment equipment
• Administer injections and perform phlebotomy as needed
• Complete all documentation pertaining to patient's medical record, test requests, medications and patient education with accuracy and timeliness
• May perform Scribe duties
• Assist the physician as directed
• Must work well in a team environment
