The position offers a $3,000 sign-on bonus for external applicants and CHW MA Apprentice Students. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma and completion of an MA program or equivalent experience; AHA/BLS required

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program OR 1 year direct patient care experience.
• 1 year of experience in a physician practice is preferred.
• CPR/BLS certification is required within 90 days.
• MA certification within 120 days from start date.

Responsibilities

• Assist clinicians with patient check-in and rooming.
• Support examination procedures and patient care activities.
• Prepare and inventory clinical supplies; maintain chart accuracy.
• Coordinate patient scheduling and throughput to ensure efficient visits.

Scope of work

As a Medical Assistant with Corewell Health, you'll be a member of our clinical support team and work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of the best possible care. You'll be a vital part of our team, making a real difference in the lives of our patients.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent Required
• Successful completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program that includes hands-on, in-person clinical skills OR a minimum of one (1) year of experience working specifically in the role of a Medical Assistant, LPN, Paramedic or EMT performing direct patient care and clinical support functions consistent with an MA scope of practice Required
• 1 year of relevant experience in a physician practice or healthcare setting Preferred
• AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Required within 90 Days
• One of the following Required within 120 Days
• AAMA Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
• AMT Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)
• NHA Certified Medical Assistant (CCMA)
• NCCT Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA)
• NAHP Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA)
