Corewell Health seeks a Medical Assistant to join the Visiting Specialists team at the Big Rapids site. You will provide direct patient care and clinical support, collaborating with healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care in a busy outpatient setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent Required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program with hands-on, in-person clinical skills OR 1 year direct patient care experience.
• 1 year of healthcare experience preferred.
• BLS/CPR certification required within 90 days.
• Certification: CMA, RMA, CCMA, NCMA, or NRCMA within 120 days.

Responsibilities

• Be a member of our clinical support team and collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care.
• Provide direct patient care and clinical support within the MA scope of practice.
• Assist in daily clinic operations and patient flow.

Scope of work

As a Medical Assistant with Corewell Health, you'll be a member of our clinical support team and work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of the best possible care. You'll be a vital part of our team, making a real difference in the lives of our patients.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent Required
• Successful completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program that includes hands‑on, in‑person clinical skills OR a minimum of one (1) year of experience working specifically in the role of a Medical Assistant, LPN, Paramedic or EMT performing direct patient care and clinical support functions consistent with an MA scope of practice Required
• 1 year of relevant experience in a physician practice or healthcare setting Preferred
• AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Required within 90 Days
• One of the following Required within 120 Days
• AAMA Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
• AMT Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)
• NHA Certified Medical Assistant (CCMA)
• NCCT Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA)
• NAHP Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA)
