Job summary

Corewell Health is seeking a Full-time Medical Assistant for the Care Center Grand Haven location. You will join Visiting Specialists Grand Haven Care Ctr - Medical Group West, supporting clinicians and ensuring smooth patient flow in a busy outpatient clinic.

Eligible external applicants or current CHW MA Apprentice Students can receive a $3,000 sign-on bonus. The role requires a completed MA program or equivalent experience, and BLS certification within 90 days.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of accredited Medical Assistant program with hands-on clinical skills OR 1 year in MA/clinical support.
• BLS certification required within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Be a member of the clinical support team and assist healthcare professionals to deliver care.
• Support patient flow in outpatient clinic settings.
• Perform direct patient care and clinical support functions within MA scope.

Scope of work

As a Medical Assistant with Corewell Health, you'll be a member of our clinical support team and work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of the best possible care. You'll be a vital part of our team, making a real difference in the lives of our patients.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent Required
• Successful completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program that includes hands-on, in-person clinical skills OR a minimum of one (1) year of experience working specifically in the role of a Medical Assistant, LPN, Paramedic or EMT performing direct patient care and clinical support functions consistent with an MA scope of practice Required
• 1 year of relevant experience in a physician practice or healthcare setting Preferred
• AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Required within 90 Days

• One of the following Required within 120 Days
  • AAMA Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
  • AMT Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)
  • NHA Certified Medical Assistant (CCMA)
  • NCCT Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA)
  • NAHP Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA)
