Advocate Health seeks a part-time Medical Assistant for the Concord Internal Medicine clinic. The role involves rooming patients, obtaining vitals, reviewing medical history, vaccines and screenings, and supporting the provider with procedures.

Strong EMR skills and patient communication are essential. Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program, and current BLS certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or military clinical training in lieu of a program.
• Current BLS certification required.
• CMA/RMA certification through national body or eligibility.

Responsabilités

• Room patients, take vitals, review history and screenings.
• Assist provider with procedures as ordered.
• Perform lab duties: venipuncture, specimen handling, POCT.
• Administer medications and vaccines per rights.
• Handle refills, authorizations, scheduling, and referrals.
• Maintain clean, stocked work area and assist with training.
• Support age-appropriate care following department standards.
• Possibly serve on committees or act as a role model.
