Advocate Health in the Charlotte area is seeking a Medical Assistant for the North Charlotte Internal Medicine Huntersville team. The role involves rooming patients, taking vitals, performing labs, and assisting providers with procedures in a 36-hour workweek.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program, and MA certification. BLS completion and EMR proficiency are expected; scheduling and patient coordination are also included.

Formación

• Two years of clinical Medical Assistant experience.
• MA scope of practice knowledge and competency.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient computer skills and EMR experience.

Responsabilidades

• Adheres to MA scope of practice and adheres to policies.
• Performs rooming/visit tasks (vital signs, med reconciliation, history, screenings).
• Assists provider with procedures as ordered.
• Performs venipuncture and lab duties per CLIA standards.
• Administers medications and vaccines following rights of medication administration.
• Schedules appointments and referrals; handles insurance authorizations.
