Job summary

Advocate Health in Concord seeks a Medical Assistant to support cardiology patients in a busy clinic. You will take vital signs, room patients, collect histories, and assist physicians with procedures. You will also perform POCT, venipuncture, lab duties, vaccines, and EMR documentation.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED, completion of an accredited MA program, BLS certification, and strong communication and teamwork. No prior experience required, local candidates preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and some complex clinical tasks within MA scope.
• Take vital signs, room patients, collect histories, screenings, and health maintenance.
• Assist providers with procedures and administer vaccines as ordered.
• Perform venipuncture, specimen handling, and basic lab duties.
• Coordinate referrals, scheduling, and communication with patients and team.
