Job summary

VillageMD in Avon, CT is seeking a Medical Assistant who will support physicians and NPs, manage patient flow, and perform clerical tasks in a fast-paced clinical setting.

You will document vitals, update medications, coordinate with care teams, and ensure accurate charting in the EHR. Travel to satellite offices may be required.

Strong English communication, completion of an accredited MA program, and the ability to multitask are essential; bilingual Polish preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) is preferred.
• Fluent English communication is required (oral and written).
• Polish language skills are preferred.
• Must be able to organize and multitask effectively.
• Basic computer skills are required.
• Must be able to commute to satellite offices as needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepares examination rooms and aids in patient flow.
• Manages efficient patient flow and prepares patients for visits.
• Documents vitals, allergies, and medications in the EHR.
• Assists in scheduling, referrals, and order entry in PMS/EHR.
• Adheres to safety precautions and maintains equipment.
• Communicates patient needs to supervisors and managers.

Education

High School Diploma or GED

Graduated from an accredited Medical Assistant program

Basic Life Support (BLS)

English communication (written and spoken)

Polish language (preferred)

Task organization and multitasking

Basic computer proficiency

Ability to commute to satellite offices
